Ten days after a massive flood hit the Himalayan region of Nepal, one Chinese worker was rescued from a hydroelectric power plant tunnel. This is the power plant where nine South Koreans were working, raising hopes for future rescue efforts. The day before, two Nepali power plant employees were also rescued, bringing the total number of survivors to three. A joint rescue team consisting of the Nepalese army and Korean disaster relief experts continues to search for other workers isolated in numerous power plant tunnels. This incident marks the ninth survivor rescued by KDRT since its establishment.
