The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) held a rally in downtown Seoul, demanding the abolition of the 'Mega Special Act' for the establishment of a semiconductor cluster in the southwestern region. The KCTU argued that the Mega Special Act provides biased benefits to corporations and violates workers' rights. It also pointed out the problem of insufficient implementation of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) negotiations and urged the strengthening of budget transparency. The KCTU criticized the fact that while the government is significantly increasing industrial support budgets, the increase in budgets for health, welfare, and employment is relatively small.
