The National Alliance for the Abolition of Discrimination Against People with Disabilities (Jeonjangyeon) has decided to suspend subway protests on their way to work through a declaration of social compromise for the guarantee of disability rights. Jeonjangyeon plans to announce the progress and key contents of the ordinance promotion related to disability rights protection in consultation with the Democratic Party of Seoul Metropolitan Council. This protest, which has been ongoing since December 2021, aimed to demand environmental improvements so that people with disabilities can use the subway safely and conveniently. Jeonjangyeon temporarily suspended the protest after a meeting with Hong-geun Park, Minister of Planning and Budget, and is scheduled to announce its final position at a press conference on the 24th.
