A while ago..
in the neighborhood where I live,
there was apparently a husband who would brew coffee in the morning.. pour the brewed coffee into a cup..
carry that cup to the room where his wife was sleeping..
and wake his wife by letting her smell the coffee aroma right under her nose..
and he might still be active(?) somewhere even now..
I've never personally seen that rotten guy's face..
I heard the story from my wife..
I don't quite remember which lady told her that story,
but ever since hearing it..
whenever my wife wakes up in the morning, I have to brew coffee and bring it to her..
Among my wife's friends,
there's apparently someone whose husband comes at her(?) practically every single night..
I thought, guess he's eating well.. and left it at that..
but hearing that a regular office worker, not even a company owner, does that at this age,
I honestly wanted to see that rotten guy's face too..
what does he even look like to do such animal-like things..
Not just my wife,
but her close female friends also seem to secretly envy those stories..
It looks like they're comparing to their own husbands,
In my analysis, that's..
not much different from a single photo taken at a restaurant,
after everything's been set up nicely following ordering a delicious dish..
Taken at the moment it looks most tidy and delicious..
possibly just one still cut, even using a photo-editing app..
Once you actually start eating, it's only a matter of time before it gets messy..
But maybe we..
compare ourselves to happiness that others have constructed
and end up living feeling unhappy because of it..
What's the reason people live..?
Might not be the exact right answer, but at minimum, living to be happy is probably correct..
But why..
do we compare ourselves to others and make ourselves unhappy..?
First, because of muddy-the-waters rotten guys like loach fish,
and second, because of low self-esteem
from believing the happiness others have manufactured, comparing ourselves to it, and sinking into a swamp of unhappiness on our own..
One more thing to add..
Fellow Korean expats in Indonesia!
Let's root out the rotten guys muddying our good customs
so that no such nonsense stories can stir up public sentiment again..
and let's raise our self-esteem
so we don't drive ourselves into unhappiness by comparing ourselves to others..
