Tony Ann is a highly skilled solo pianist and a musician with bold ideas. He studied briefly at the Cleveland Institute of Music and Berklee College of Music, gaining a background that encompasses both classical and modern music. Based on this background, he blends new styles with traditional styles to create amazing musical effects. Calling himself a 'harmony connoisseur,' he seeks to expand the boundaries of neoclassical and instrumental music while exploring new possibilities in popular music.
Although his music is limited to wordless forms, Tony conveys emotions, techniques, and a wide range through original compositions that utilize the full potential of the piano's 88 keys. Recently, he has achieved great success by introducing neoclassical music ideas to younger generations through social media. In particular, his "Play That Word" series has garnered significant attention by creating unique pieces based on words suggested by viewers and converting them into keyboard letters.
In addition to his solo work, Tony enjoys collaborations and has worked with several artists in the pop music field. He co-wrote the singles 'Sick Boy' and 'Call You Mine (feat. Bebe Rexha)' which received platinum certification in the US, and 'Side Effects (feat. Emily Warren)' which received gold certification, all in collaboration with The Chainsmokers. He also served as the official keyboardist for The Chainsmokers' North American arena tour "Memories: Do Not Open" and appeared on shows like SNL and Good Morning America.
