Usually, when talking about bicycle speedometers and measuring devices, people say "Garmin is the best!"...
But at a not insignificant price.... and considering personal preferences... using Garmin wearable watches with Edge isn't easily accessible due to the price range.
For more practical configurations in daily life, if you use Apple, an Apple Watch + iPhone would be a wiser choice.
So then... while riding, what if I want to see simple information like average speed, speed, distance, and heart rate...?
If you use an iPhone and Apple Watch, try this method.
Among the iOS 17 / Watch OS 10 features, a function called Live Cycling Matries has been added.
After starting a workout on your Apple Watch and selecting outdoor cycling, it will be sent to the iPhone lock screen and ask for permission.
Always allow it, and the next time you run it from your watch, it will start automatically.
Precautions:
1. Apple Watch >> Settings >> Workout >> Activate display metrics on iPhone
2. Apple Watch >> Workout >> Set screen configuration for outdoor cycling

Personally, I like Garmin products and use them, but within the scope of my usage, I think an Apple Watch + iPhone is sufficient.
I just like the device and its design... so I shout "Garmin is the best!" ... But from my perspective, who doesn't even use 1/10th of its functions, this configuration is also satisfactory.
