Mount Anak Krakatau has erupted, but as of now it has not disrupted flight operations at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. The Ministry of Transportation continues to monitor the situation through AirNav and is conducting checks for the presence of volcanic ash at the airport. If the thickness of volcanic ash is high enough, further action will be taken, such as closing the airport, but this decision will be based on official procedures and NOTAM (Notice to Airmen). Flight safety is the top priority, so operations may experience opening and closing depending on field conditions and monitoring results. For example, when visibility is below the minimum limit, flights are not permitted to take off or land for safety reasons.
