Rep. Na Kyung-won claimed that there were conflicts of interest and dereliction of duty by Kim Yong-bum, chief of the presidential policy office, Lee Chan-jin, chairman of the Financial Supervisory Service, and Lee Eok-won, chairman of the Financial Services Commission during the introduction process of single-stock leveraged ETFs. She urged them to resign. Rep. Na pointed out that their sons are employed by Mirae Asset, the ETF operator, and that Mirae Asset achieved record profits after the introduction of leveraged ETFs. She raised questions about potential conflicts of interest. Rep. Na criticized Chairman Lee Eok-won's response of "I don't know well" regarding the suspicion of conflict of interest as incompetence and dereliction of duty. She argued that the truth should be investigated through parliamentary hearings, state audits, and even a special prosecutor if necessary.
