Two men without masks smashed a display case with hammers and stole a diamond necklace worth 5.5 billion won from the Applied Arts Museum in Vienna, Austria. The necklace was made for the Egyptian royal family in 1939 and was also worn by Queen Nazli, who married Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the Crown Prince of Iran. The suspects' faces were clearly captured on CCTV, and police have released photos to the public. This incident has raised security concerns at European museums once again. There have also been a series of thefts recently at the Louvre Museum in France and the Museo Nacional del Prado in Spain.
