It's just a matter of comparing each other, isn't it?
So, I guess a rough estimate for my wife's dowry would come out?
I'm conservative about relationships and always try to avoid people's gazes,
so I tend to cut off complicated relationships beforehand.
But my wife likes meeting people, which is a bit opposite of me.
I sometimes play golf,
usually with women, but occasionally there are male guests.
When that happens, I invite them for dinner,
but usually when I suggest dinner...they just say "go have fun on your own".
But..
when a male guest joins the dinner table,
I participate.
I started school at 7 years old.
I was so gifted that I could have entered at 5,
but my mother said it's better not to stand out too much.
So, I started school at 7.
My friends are all a year older than me,
but..
the men I know from Indonesia are often the same age as me.
The thing is..
I don't talk to people my own age.
We either raise each other up...so we don't become friends.
So, some of them call me "hyung" (older brother) even though we are the same age,
and I sometimes make time for them.
When there was a male guest, I joined the drinking party,
and it turned out he was my age.
So we ended up raising each other's status and felt the need to clarify our seniority.
"I'm older because of this and that...so call me hyung from now on".
That's how I logically settled it.
The Korean people in Indonesia are really nice.
If someone suggests something like that to me,
I'd usually run away, but most of my peers just agree.
Once the seniority is settled..
we drink and have fun until we get drunk.
Then I tell them stories...
What do you think would hurt more if you were hit with a soju bottle or a beer bottle?
How much stronger would it be if you were hit with an empty beer bottle versus a full one?
If you hit your head with an empty bottle, most of the time you'll bleed,
because after hitting your head with the bottle, you finish the swing long and slow. You have to quickly flick it up so that your head doesn't get scratched by the broken glass.
I lay out all this nonsense like that,
and then I say "Isn't my wife pretty?"
It's a statement from an old man, but if anyone tries anything funny, I'll show them everything I mentioned before.
Then, when we're drunk and making strange noises..
I act like a fool.
The next day, my wife is always embarrassed.
"Because of you, I can't go out!" she says.
Do you remember what you said at dinner last night?
Of course, I say I don't remember,
but I actually do.
I block even a 0.1% chance.
That's my quality mindset.
So I act like a fool...and she doesn't even know it and keeps getting embarrassed because of me...
Other women seem to be really envious.
