The company I work for is a primary vendor that supplies to Japanese companies.
Productivity is important, but
the most emphasized thing is quality.
We received only one claim last year..
and there have been no defects this year.
Defects always occur in the manufacturing plant.
We are constantly improving to be able to catch them all before delivery.
Our quality manager is very smart and meticulous..
When a defect occurs..
the quality department and the production department fight..
I really like that..fighting for work..
I checked it and..
This level is considered a defect according to our standards, but there is no problem with delivery.
So I gave the shipping instructions.
But..ㅎㅎㅎ
Our quality manager posted this on SNS connected to the Korean headquarters.
Although I gave the shipping instructions,
it seems that he thought it was not shippable.
It seems like he wanted to get confirmation from the president or CEO.
Moreover..
I immediately replied.
How many defects are there..? Is there a problem with the company's own process..?
We have a machine that is the same as the one used by the Japanese company for testing, and the results of the test on it were fine..?
I answered that everything was fine.
So..
before the president or CEO made a decision,
I posted again on SNS saying that I had instructed the shipment.
What action did I take after that..?
No..the final responsible person gave the shipping instructions.
Even though he saw it, he posted it on the headquarters SNS without discussing it with me..
Wouldn't you be a little upset?
Should I have called him and scolded him..?
I didn't do that.
I always tell my employees..
Open up anything ambiguous..and quickly too.
I instructed him to open up, and the quality manager did.
Of course, he could have opened it only to me,
but there seems to be something excessive about it.
The quality manager probably seemed to be waiting for instructions from the president or CEO.
However, I know the situation here better than they do..
and since I am responsible for everything,
I gave instructions before they did..to ship.
For example..
If I had called the quality manager and asked him why he opened it in Korea without discussing it with me..
it would be like I was hiding something.
Then my words wouldn't have authority.
He would think that I am hiding something while telling us to open up..His words and actions wouldn't match.
I think I showed him that on SNS..
Open up honestly, but..
since I am the person in charge here, I will give instructions..
and I will take responsibility.
I believe I showed him that on SNS.
Now that he's seen it..
won't he do it again..?
If he does..what..
does he still not trust my words..?
