Turning off the watermark removes the watermark that previously appeared in the bottom right corner of content generated by Google's products like Nano Banana. However, invisible SynthID watermarks and C2PA metadata will continue to be added.
This change may make it more difficult to distinguish AI-generated images and videos at a glance. However, many people have already edited out visible watermarks. Additionally, other services such as OpenAI and Meta's AI image generators do not apply visible watermarks.
