Long ago..
I have read the Talmud..
It was truly a book with many wonderful sayings and so much to learn..
Among those, there is still something that remains vividly in my memory..
The Talmud is a book made by collecting stories that were originally passed down orally..
Throughout Israel.. probably stories passed down from each neighborhood.. good sayings..
It seems there were such things..
So..
It seems the Jewish people felt the need to compile it and preserve it as a book..
They collected materials.. and heard it transmitted from people..
And that is how they completed the Talmud as it is today..
To compile the Talmud and bind it as a book
Many people would have been needed..
People collecting materials.. in the case of oral traditions, people who listened and transcribed them..
And people who entered the content into the book.. and so on
It is said that a great many people were needed..
When the Jewish people made the Talmud
There was supposedly one rule they established..
They selected people from throughout Israel to make the current Talmud
When selecting people..
There was supposedly a criterion..
What was it..
They did not select people who were too intelligent..it is said..
People like me are first priority for elimination..
Why did they do this..
The Talmud is stories, secrets, rules, wisdom, etc. passed down from Jewish ancestors
It is a book that compiled these..
But since there were not many written materials and it came down mainly through oral tradition..
If an intelligent person with strong opinions took on that role..
There would be a possibility that personal thoughts would be included in the facts as they are..
They were concerned about that, I heard..
No matter how intelligent oneself is It is not comparable to the wisdom passed down from ancestors and such things..
The Jewish people made that judgment.. and I am personally thinking about it..
To people who like to come forward thinking they are intelligent
I thought it might be such an anecdote to ring a bell.. so I am sharing it..
Surely..
You don't think that if only you heed it well, that's all..
do you..?
Well....even so.. what can I do about it..
