The Korea U-17 women's volleyball national team advanced to the round of 16 at the World Championships with four consecutive wins. The team defeated the Dominican Republic 3-1 to take the lead in Group D, and secured a top-four finish in the group regardless of the result of the final match against Algeria, earning a spot in the next round. Son Seo-yeon, nicknamed 'Little Kim Yeon-kyung', led the team to victory with 23 points. Korea will play its final group stage match against Algeria on the 12th.
