The proportion of workers earning less than the minimum wage was higher among small businesses, temporary workers, and female workers. 30.3% of workers in businesses with 1 to 4 employees, 38.5% of temporary workers, and 16.2% of female workers earned less than the minimum wage. Age and education level also influenced the proportion of workers earning less than the minimum wage. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Employment and Labor has set the minimum wage for 2027 at 10,700 won per hour.
