Andongman Jeon ADD general manager played a major role in the development of domestic fighter jets. The success of the KTX-1 (KT-1) trainer aircraft development gave Korea confidence that it could build fighter jets, and this led to the subsequent KF-21 'Boramae' development. The KF-21 is equipped with a domestically produced AESA radar and can detect and attack enemy aircraft over 100km away. While it lags behind the US F-35 in terms of stealth capabilities, it is expected to reach the level of a 5th generation fighter jet through improvements in electronic warfare capabilities. General Manager Andongman Jeon emphasized the difficulties of aircraft development, pointing out that missiles are even more complex and safety is crucial.
