A domestic research team analyzed over 17,000 cardiac arrest patients who experienced the event outside of a hospital setting. The results showed that patients who received epinephrine within 20 minutes of cardiac arrest had higher survival rates and better chances of neurological recovery. For every minute delay in epinephrine administration, the likelihood of neurological recovery decreased by 3.6%. After 30 minutes, the prognosis deteriorated sharply. This study highlights the importance of timely epinephrine administration and emphasizes that prompt reporting to emergency services (119) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation enable rapid response from emergency medical personnel and facilitate epinephrine administration.
