I really like wallets..
So I used to put my wallet in the back pocket of my pants since I was a student..
Half of the wallet was sticking out..
I got a lot of criticism from people..
You're going to lose it.. Someone might steal it..
Originally, I'm the type who listens with one ear and lets it go out the other.
So I just carried my favorite wallet in my pocket..
My wife and I went to Singapore for a visa, and I lost the wallet I had tucked in my back pocket..
It was about 10 years ago..
Fortunately, my wife had some cash, so we took a taxi and somehow managed to get home safely..
At that time, there was money in the wallet,
but also my resident registration card and driver's license.
Living in Indonesia..
I didn't need a Korean resident registration card or driver's license,
so I kept putting it off, but in 2019, when I entered Korea, I made a new resident registration card.
When I went to the district office, they told me to bring a photo.
But..
My procrastination kicked in again.
So I went to my mother's house and found a passport photo from 20 years ago.
I brought it with me..
Ah.. well..
Even though 20 years had passed,
I don't know if it was because my skin and face were so elastic, or if the person in charge also had procrastination, but they made me a new resident registration card with that photo.
The other day, I happened to open my wallet and took out my resident registration card to look at it.
I'm still young.. But..
Wow.. I was so young and fresh..
That's what I thought.
Then, all of a sudden, I had this thought..
I'm looking at a picture of myself from the 1990s,
and in 20 years, in 2040..
What will I think when I see a picture of myself now?
If I'm still alive in 20 years..
My hair will be gray and
I'll have a lot of wrinkles.
I'll be much older than I am now..
What will I think when I see a picture of myself from 2025?
Maybe I don't know..
But..
Wow.. I was so young and fresh..
That's what I think.
Okay..
Now, let's go into the world of time and spirit with you all.
You all meet yourselves from 20 years ago.
I see a handsome young man standing awkwardly, looking like Won Bin.
He's focusing on his eyes and chewing something..
Ah, he's chewing on arrowroot.
And then he turns his head to meet himself from 20 years later.
As they say, "Even if it rots, a good thing is still good," isn't that true?
He's gained some weight..
I'm actually experiencing the law of conservation of mass firsthand.
My self from 20 years later speaks to me now.
You're so young and handsome..
On the count of one, two, three, we return to reality.
One..
Two..
Three..
Look in the mirror.
Whether you're in your 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s..
You are very young, fresh, and charming when you see yourself from 20 years later.
No matter what anyone says,
now is the best time in my life, right?
