and became incredibly famous unintentionally..
In my 30s, I found it bothersome to wear clothes, so at home I always wore just underwear..
Then when I wanted to smoke, I'd go outside
Maybe because it's a hot country,
putting on clothes was quite bothersome..
So I went out in just underwear to smoke..
They were square-cut, not triangular,
and I thought they weren't much different from short shorts..
My wife told me..
Some lady said she knew me..
I told her I didn't know who that lady was,
and she said, "Isn't that the person who smokes in just underwear every day?"..
As you can probably imagine,
in front of our house, not only locals..
but Korean ladies, perhaps embarrassed, would drive their cars
and linger in front of our house..
It became so crowded that other cars couldn't pass..
Security came and controlled traffic,
and even collected 1000 rupiah parking fees..
You know those people you always see when traffic gets backed up going uphill..?
Almost every weekend cars would be backed up in front of our house, so
there were always 3-4 popcorn vendors stationed in front of our house..
Of course, they fought a lot while grabbing each other's hair to secure good spots(?).
Then,
after 12 years, we had to move..
Even though I'd lived in Indonesia for about 20 years,
it was the first time I was asked to bring a certificate from the neighborhood chief proving I lived there to renew my KITAS..
Actually, I didn't even know who the neighborhood chief was..
I could find them if I tried, but it was bothersome..
so I asked an agent to go find and get it for me..
At that time, I got a call..
The neighborhood chief said they knew me..
So when I asked what their name was, it was someone I didn't know..
And to make it worse..
there was a female employee under the chief who handled documents,
and she also said she knew me..
asking if I was Korean..
My administrative department employee received the call in front of me like that..
So I was thinking it was strange..
but the female employee from the administrative department said,
Mr. seems to be famous because he's so handsome.. she said that..

to the reasonable and logical deduction of the female administrative employee,
I just nodded..
Probably..
but this is my thought,
when I went out in just underwear to smoke back then,
I wonder if it might be one of the women who was eating popcorn..
