I had a conversation for about 30 minutes with someone who has far-right views..

He's someone who watches YouTube frequently..


His claims are as follows..


Moon Jae-in is connected to North Korea

Lee Jae-myung is connected to China..

Yoon knew this and declared martial law, but it ended in failure..

If Lee Jae-myung becomes president, it will become Chinese-style socialism..



His claim.. since he watches YouTube frequently

The claim of far-right YouTubers is

The opposition party are communists

The reason Yoon Suk-yeol declared martial law is because there is a great risk that the country will change from democracy to socialism..


Is that correct?

    [KR] 극우 성향이신 분과 정치적인 이야기로 30분씩이나 대화가 가능하시다는게 대단하십니다. 저는 성격이 급하고 참을성이 부족해서 그런지 정치, 종교에 대해서 대립이 되면 천륜이 아닌이상 해당 소재로 두어마디 이상을 섞지 않거든요. 설득하려고도 하지 않지만 들으려고 하지도 않는 위주라.... 100번 양보해도 이해가 안가는건.... 저 태극기 할배들... 돈받고 집회에 나간다고 하지만... 성조기는 왜 들고 나가는 걸까요? 태극기는 본인의 국기니까 그렇다고 쳐도... 정치적으로 본인들의 입장과 대립각을 세우고 있는 미국인데... 이해할 수 가 없더라구요. 뭐... 원래도 이해가 되거나 이해하고 싶지 않은 사람들이긴 하지만...

    상대방 이야기를 들어봐야, 어떤 논리적 허점을 가지고 있는지 알수 있구요..그런 허점들을 보면서 제가 생각하고 있는 논리도 되돌아 볼수 있다고 봅니다..토론은 하지 않아요..어차피 토론이 이루어질수 없다는걸 알고 토론이 가능한 사람은 극우..극좌가 되지 않는다는것 또한 아니까요..

    I need to listen to the other person's story to understand what logical flaws they have. While looking at those flaws, I believe I can also reflect on the logic I'm thinking about. I don't debate. Because I know that meaningful discussion can't really happen... and also because it's not true that people capable of discussion don't become far-right or far-left.
