This year, car exports from Incheon Port decreased by 9% due to a decrease in used cars. The main reasons are the deterioration of markets in Central Asia and the Middle East and the strengthening of regulations on used car imports in Russia. On the other hand, new car exports increased by 19.8% thanks to the expansion of overseas sales by finished car manufacturers such as Korea GM. In addition, transshipment cargo volume also increased by 153.7% due to an increase in cargo diverted from Pyeongtaek Port due to saturation. Incheon Port is expected to continue the trend of increasing new car exports and transshipment cargo volume in the future.
