This widened the gap between KIA and 5th place Doosan to 3.5 games. Meanwhile, the LG Twins recorded their 5th consecutive win by defeating the Samsung Lions 4-3, led by Go Woo-seok's save pitching. The NC Dinos achieved their 6th straight win by beating the Kiwoom Heroes 6-1, and the SSG Landers overwhelmed the Doosan Bears 4-0 with Pedro Avila's complete game shutout. Finally, the Hanwha Eagles escaped a nine-game losing streak by defeating the Lotte Giants 14-4 with 18 hits, including a two-run homer by Noh Si-hwan.
