Secondhand platforms are selling picnic mats, parking passes, and other items for hundreds of thousands to millions of won. Some restaurants are even offering VIP seats with festival views for 6 million won, highlighting excessive commercialization. However, since the Han River Park is a public facility, legally penalizing spot reservation is difficult. The Seoul Metropolitan Government is installing warning placards and requesting the removal of posts from secondhand trading platforms, but a fundamental solution remains elusive. As the fireworks festival approaches, cafes and restaurants near the Han River Park are also changing their operating methods or selling special products to generate profits.
