The National Investigation Service (NIS) will hold a meeting today at 2 p.m. to select the first director candidate. The committee is expected to shortlist three or more candidates deemed suitable by the Minister of Public Administration and Security, including those recommended by the public. The selected candidate will undergo a parliamentary personnel hearing before being appointed by the president. The NIS director has a two-year term and must have at least 15 years of experience in investigation or law.
