South Korean high jumper Woo Sang-hyeok continued his slump, finishing last with a jump of 2.14 meters at the Heilbronn International High Jump Meet, his second competition since returning from injury. He fell far short of his personal best (2.36 meters) and this season's best (2.30 meters). Woo Sang-hyeok had not competed in an actual competition for about three months due to an injury sustained during a competition in Japan in May, and focused on recovery. This slump has cast doubt on his medal prospects at the Asian Games next month. The competition was won by Japan's Shinno Tomohiro.
