A collapse accident occurred at a construction site for the Shin-Ansan Line underground tunnel in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi Province. The day before the accident, workers detected signs of collapse, such as the ceiling of the underground tunnel caving in, and sent radio communications to halt work and evacuate. However, it is presumed that workers in the upper area had difficulty detecting the warning signs. As a result, two workers went missing, with one confirmed dead and the other injured. Police are conducting a detailed investigation into the incident.
