Sergeant Hyun-ju Lee of the Chungbuk Provincial Police Agency's Forensic Science Division promised to donate hair with her daughter, Ji-yoon Song, for children with cancer. After their first donation in 2021, her daughter passed away from acute cerebral hemorrhage before their second donation. Even in grief, Sergeant Lee kept her promise to her daughter and grew her hair alone, donating a total of 110cm twice in 2023 and this year. She plans to continue growing her hair, which is 158cm long, and donate it.
