Yoon Han-hong, a lawmaker of the People Power Party, has been under investigation by a special prosecutor for alleged improper intervention in the selection of construction companies during the process of relocating the presidential office. While Yoon denies the allegations, the special prosecution team secured testimony that he instructed 21 Grams, a company with close ties to Kim Kun-hee, to be awarded the contract for the office renovation. There is also evidence that Yoon continued to intervene in the construction even after the inauguration of former President Yoon Suk-yeol by visiting the construction site. The special prosecution team plans to decide whether to indict Yoon without further investigation.
