The Democratic Party of Korea primary election for party leader has been narrowed down to a three-way race between Kim Min-seok, Jeong Cheong-rae, and Song Young-gil. In the preliminary election held from the 21st to the 23rd, candidates Go Min-jung and Kim Bo-mi were eliminated. The rankings and vote counts of the finalists in the main election will not be disclosed according to party regulations. Eight candidates advanced to the final round for the position of Supreme Council member: Park Seon-won, Lee Seong-yun, Kim Yong, Han Min-soo, Seo Mi-hwa, Choi Min-hee, Kim Young-ho, and Lim Mi-ae. The party leader and Supreme Council members will be elected at the general assembly on August 17th.
