A magnitude 7.3 earthquake struck off the coast near the Mexico-Guatemala border. The Guatemalan president said disaster authorities are responding to the situation and urged citizens to remain calm. This earthquake occurred about three weeks after a series of strong earthquakes hit northern Venezuela on September 24th.
