The cause of the Jeju Air passenger aircraft disaster has been confirmed as a bird strike. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport reported that bird feathers were found in the engine at the time of the accident, and environmental ministry experts plan to determine the bird species and number through sample analysis. Additionally, the Aviation and Railway Accident Investigation Board plans to reconstruct the accident sequence through black box data analysis. Meanwhile, although there was controversy over the localizer installation process, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport maintained its position that there were no issues based on ICAO and FAA regulations. Following this incident, the ministry plans to conduct a comprehensive survey of airport facilities nationwide.
