President Lee Jae-myung met with US President Trump while visiting Turkey to attend the NATO summit and discussed follow-up cooperation on warship construction. At the request of President Trump, President Lee promised to introduce Korean shipbuilding companies and cooperate as much as possible. The two leaders also agreed to push for President Lee's visit to the United States at an appropriate time to hold a golf meeting promised at the G7 summit. During dinner, President Lee discussed the Korean Peninsula and major regions in the Middle East with the Spanish Prime Minister, energy cooperation with the Dutch Prime Minister, and ways to participate in infrastructure projects with the Montenegrin Prime Minister.
