Denmark and the United States have agreed on an agreement regarding Greenland's security. This agreement will not limit Arctic security responsibility solely to the United States and Denmark but will be shared by NATO. While President Trump of the United States argued for securing America's "permanent control" over Greenland and increasing troops, Denmark and Greenland reached an agreement recognizing sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the right to self-determination of the Greenlanders. Although the details of the agreement have not yet been released, it is scheduled to be concluded on the 22nd in New York, coinciding with the UN General Assembly.
