Kyu-seo Yang, the head of the organization department of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) Public Transportation Social Service Workers' Union, is staging a high-altitude protest by hanging from the exterior wall of the Kyunghyang Shinmun building in Jung-gu, Seoul. He claims that his wife was unfairly dismissed due to workplace bullying and industrial accidents while working at the Seoul branch of the KCTU Public Transportation Medical Solidarity. Yang argues that he himself received a 16-month suspension after raising the issue of his wife's unfair dismissal. This protest is an act of defiance against this disciplinary action. However, the KCTU side refutes this claim, stating that the Central Labor Relations Commission and the court have ruled that there were no problems with Yang's wife's dismissal, and that Yang's disciplinary action was unrelated to this issue. Fire and police authorities have deployed a ladder truck at the scene and installed air mattresses on the ground in preparation for any accidents.
