Gambir Station will be gradually renovated over two years to support the integration of mass transportation, especially with the presence of the Jakarta MRT Station in its vicinity. This renovation prioritizes the arrangement of long-distance train services before focusing on commuter line facilities. KAI targets Gambir Station to be able to serve a much larger volume of passengers after the renovation is complete. The project will be carried out by considering aspects of safety and infrastructure, as well as coordinating with the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA). KAI is committed to conducting socialization and education to the public during the construction process in order to minimize the impact on density.
