Police conducted a search and seizure at Incheon City Hall on suspicion of civil servants engaging in campaign activities at People Power Party Incheon Mayor Yu Jeong-bok's primary campaign. Police are investigating former term-limited civil servants on suspicion of violating the Public Official Election Act. It is known that they supported events held by Mayor Yu while maintaining their civil servant status in April. Civic groups claim that despite submitting resignation letters, these individuals participated in election campaigns while still in active employment. The Public Official Election Act prohibits civil servants from engaging in campaign activities during intra-party primary elections.
