The number of people applying for debt adjustment is increasing rapidly in a high-interest rate environment. 97,000 people confirmed debt adjustment in the first half of this year alone, which already exceeds half of last year's annual scale. The increase in expedited debt adjustments among the elderly is particularly noticeable, and the number of individuals who confirmed personal work-outs in the second quarter recorded the highest level in the past five years on a quarterly basis. There are also increasing cases of people borrowing living expenses again even after receiving debt adjustment, showing that the financial difficulties of vulnerable groups are serious.
