In fact, I can say I've stopped doing development itself for quite some time.
Since I can't keep up with the younger folks in detailed coding, at some point I found myself focusing more on the PM role of planning development and structuring it.
Today, by chance, I got an opportunity to do raw coding, and instead of using code that AI creates, I'm typing it character by character myself
and learning the code, and suddenly I had such a thought...
Typing on the keyboard is fun... joyful...
I guess I'm truly a developer after all.
I thought that having multiple types of keyboards would give me that joy from the keyboards... but that joy doesn't come from the keyboards themselves
I suddenly realized that what I do with those keyboards is what really matters.
I'm using a keyboard that uses magnetic switches (HE)... this keyboard doesn't give the joy of typing so much as it helps with slightly more accurate typing
it's that kind of style, and I think this is the first time I've done coding with this keyboard.
The conclusion is... it's not which keyboard gives joy... but what I do with that keyboard that makes the difference, and I'm realizing this at this age.
I'm a person who feels happy doing such work, coding and writing queries without even noticing the time passing... but recently, since I haven't been doing that kind of work, there's been no joy
it seems.
I made excuses here and there, and instead of writing actual code, I only implemented it verbally... (it's true that AI played a part in that too lol)
While learning a new language, I think I should do as much raw coding as possible and use the keyboard more to feel that joy
so I'm rambling on and on.
