The Corruption Investigation Office (CIO) halted the execution of a search warrant for the Presidential Secretariat and National Security Office at approximately 5:30 AM while investigating allegations of external pressure in the death of Marine Lance Corporal Chae Sang-byeong, in which former President Yoon Suk-yeol was implicated. This occurred amid allegations that former President Yoon, who was Defense Minister at the time of the marine's death, interfered in the investigation process of the incident. The CIO had been attempting to conduct the search to secure relevant materials but halted the execution just before implementation.
