Hundreds of people are missing due to a major flood in Nepal, and the Korean government has decided to deploy the Air Force's multi-purpose aerial refueling aircraft 'Signus' to support relief efforts. Signus is expected to be responsible for transporting relief equipment and supplies. This deployment was made at the request of the fire department, and Signus has been used in the past for the rescue operation of Koreans during the Middle East War and the dispatch of overseas emergency relief teams during the Turkish earthquake. The government is currently reviewing the possibility of dispatching an emergency relief team through consultations with the Nepalese government.
