Gunung Semeru volcano, located on Java Island in Indonesia, erupted four times between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. on April 19th. While the eruptions were not visually confirmed, they were recorded on seismographs, with maximum amplitude of 22mm and duration up to 126 seconds. The first eruption occurred at 7:21 a.m., ejecting volcanic ash to approximately 800 meters in height. The Pusat Vulkanologi dan Mitigasi Bencana Geologi (PVMBG) announced that Gunung Semeru remains at alert level (Level II) and has prohibited residents from conducting activities within 3 kilometers of the crater. Additionally, activities are prohibited within 500 meters along the Besuk Kobokan river.
