An aging leased helicopter, 44 years old, crashed during wildfire suppression operations in Seobbyeon-dong, Buk-gu, Daegu, killing the pilot. The accident occurred at 3:41 p.m. on the 6th. Witnesses stated that the helicopter descended to utility pole height before colliding with a farm shed and crashing. This is the second incident to occur 11 days after a leased helicopter crash in Uiseong, North Gyeongsang Province on the 26th of last month. Police plan to determine the exact cause of the accident through witness interviews after securing the scene.
