Singer Whee Sung, who passed away on the 10th, was laid to rest in a graveside service held on the 16th at Samsung Medical Center in Seoul. Despite the early morning rain, over 130 people including music industry colleagues, family members, and fans attended to see off the late artist on his final journey. Whee Sung's younger brother paid tribute, saying that his brother's songs will continue to resound in the world and live on forever, while the fan club president shed tears of gratitude for the music and love Whee Sung had given them. Known for hit songs such as "Why Not" and "With Me," Whee Sung led the R&B boom of the 2000s and also worked as a lyricist and music producer. Whee Sung will be laid to rest at Gwangneung Memorial Park.
