'Aging in Place' integrated care service launched in earnest in March, but challenges remain such as addressing blind spots and expanding dedicated personnel. Integrated care is a system that connects care and medical services so that the elderly can spend their later years healthily at home where they are familiar. However, the current system still requires families to provide a lot of care, and there is a need to improve the target discovery and management system. In addition, establishing an income safety net for the elderly and expanding job participation opportunities are essential elements for a dignified old age. We must move away from welfare that simply views the elderly as beneficiaries and shift to a rights-centered way of thinking.
