Record-breaking heat waves are changing the lifestyle sports patterns in the Daegu area. Due to the intense heat during the day, outdoor activities are becoming difficult, and citizens are increasingly enjoying running, walking, tennis, etc. in the evening. The number of people visiting indoor gyms after work to avoid the heat wave has also increased. Running crews and various hobby groups are delaying meeting times, and tennis match times are also being changed to night, affecting sports culture as well. The Korea Meteorological Administration expects the scorching heat to continue and recommends sufficient water intake and exercise intensity control when engaging in outdoor activities.
