A structural collapse occurred above a bridge pier at a highway construction site in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province. Eight workers who were working at the site are presumed to have been buried in the collapse. Fire authorities have issued a Level 2 emergency response and launched rescue operations due to concerns about potential mass casualties. The exact scale of damage is currently under investigation.
