The daytime high temperature in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do reached 39 degrees Celsius, and Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province suffered from extreme heat. According to the Daegu Meteorological Administration, the daytime high temperatures in Gyeongju, along with Goyang, Daegu, Gumi, Andong, and other areas, all recorded 35 degrees Celsius or higher. As a result, heat wave warnings were issued for seven locations, including Daegu (excluding Gunwi), Gyeongsan, and Cheongdo, while heat wave advisories were issued for the remaining areas. The Daegu Meteorological Administration warned that the perceived temperature was at a very dangerous level of 38 degrees Celsius or higher, urging people to refrain from outdoor activities, rest in cool places, and consume enough fluids.
