Refunds are beginning for the settlement delay crisis at Tymef (Wemef, Tmon). Wemef will unfreeze approximately 2.2 billion won in deposits pledged to Woori Bank and process refunds to customers who did not receive products or services through bank transfers or account transfers, as well as paid Wemef points holders. Tmon is also expected to carry out refunds from the 1 billion won in deposits guaranteed to Woori Bank in the near future. SGI Seoul Guarantee Insurance will receive claims notifications from customers who failed to receive Tmon Cash refunds, conduct assessments, and plan to make lump-sum payments based on review results. Following the Consumer Dispute Settlement Committee's decision regarding Tmon's refusal to refund travel, accommodation, and airline bookings, Tmon, Wemef, retailers, and payment gateway operators are expected to proceed with refunds in cooperation.
