The Kwon Chang-yeong Second Special Investigation Team requested an arrest warrant for former presidential secretary for public integrity, Lee Si-won, who is suspected of leaking information during the investigation into the Choi Sang-byeong case. The former secretary is accused of informing the Marine Corps in advance about the police's seizure and search plan. The special investigation team believes that the former secretary relayed information to a National Security Office official, which was then passed on to the Ministry of National Defense and eventually to the Marine Corps. This issue had also been raised as a suspicion by the previous Marine Corps special investigation team. Whether or not Lee Si-won will be arrested is expected to be decided early next week by the Seoul Central District Court.
