The Democratic Party is pursuing a reintroduction of a special counsel bill for insurrection to investigate the 'December 3 emergency martial law incident.' While the existing bill had ruling and opposition parties recommend candidates, the amended bill is set to change the method to entrust recommendations to a third party. Additionally, adjustments to the scope of special counsel investigations, including foreign exchange crimes, are under discussion. The Democratic Party plans to vote on the insurrection special counsel bill at a plenary session on the 14th or 16th. This comes after the bill that the government had requested reconsideration on was rejected at the National Assembly plenary session.
